The “dashboard” report
Company Dashboard reports are a standard output for many Camino functions and contain, at their core, a list of companies you have selected. The reports are produced by name searches, multi-criteria searches, energy navigator searches, index constituent listings, the recent additions report, and watch list reports.
The dashboard report contains multiple information items about the query and the companies.
- The query criteria are listed at the top of the report. The criteria can be complex and the listing is very helpful in understanding what you have retrieved.
- Links to Yahoo and MSN news for all the resulting companies are presented at the top. A link to a MSN chart for all the companies is also presented. Note that not all companies are covered by MSN.
- On each company row data is presented about one of the companies selected. Clicking the name produces a “tear sheet” report. Links to stock charts, Google news, and web sites are also provided.
- The report totals the market cap, the number of companies selected, and their average market cap.
- Subscribers have a link at the top of the report to download the underlying company data in Excel format. All information we use in selecting companies for inclusion in our indices is contained in the data download.
